Who qualifies and how much money is available?
Eligible professionals must choose either the Medicare or Medicaid incentive options:

Medicaid: physicians, dentists, certified nurse-midwives, nurse practitioners and physician assistants practicing in an FQHC or RHC that is so led by a physician assistant-up to 63,750 per provider over six years beginning as early as mid-2010 per state health IT plans. (NOTE: Medicaid incentive funds subject to 30% patient volume overall; 20% for pediatricians)

Medicare: Doctors of medicine, osteopathy, dental surgery and medicine, podiatric medicine, optometry and chiropractors (spine sublaxation)-up to $44,000 per provider over five years beginning January 1, 2011
Providing Meaningful use requires 90 continuous days of Meaningful Use reporting to qualify for the stimulus funds, so the time to get started is NOW.
